I have 5 three week old ducklings, a mix of buffs and runners. One of my buffs seems to overheat even with no lamp on and is very very noisy. She doesn’t seem in distress when she’s not panting, she eats and drinks and swims and preens. She just never stops making noise. Is this normal?

If she’s the only one then it’s probably not because of the temperature but you know what temperature you have in there? Maybe you can post a picture of the set up? There should be a warm side and a cool side they can go to get away from the heat when they want as long as she’s eating and drinking and running around and pooping too - it sounds like she’s fine, what kind of noises is she making? I wonder if her nares could be clogged ? Do they have water deep enough to dunk their face into it to clean out their little nares?
Does her poop look the same as the other ducklings?

This is the setup but it’s large. Plenty of space. The light isn’t on because it’s 80 here. I did put her in some water but she has free access to a deep water source she can dunk her head in and she gets swim time every day. It’s just constant chirping. She doesn’t sound distressed. Just noisy.
