A new gas station opened up yesterday, which led to a 'gas war' with the station across the street.
It got down to $1.99/gallon.. and I couldn't leave work to go get some.

But.
We did get lucky and got it last night for my boyfriend for $3.00/gallon when everywhere else is $3.47.

...but I had already paid the full price for it about an hour before.

Awesome! Wish I could fill up for that much. My diesel burb has a 42 gallon tank and I just paid $3.95 a gallon.
I'd even take that $3.47

Its 3.26 a gallon here. I remember being a kid in 92 I believe, and during the summer gas was .97 or. 98 cents a gallon! Why couldn't I drive back then! Sigh. I dream of the day its below 3 dollars for more than a day.

We used to heat our old house with heating oil. Had a 500 gallon tank in the back. Couldn't afford it at 4.00 a gallon.

Makes you wonder why it is $3.47 to begin with, and why would a business pretend to lose $$ at $1.99. big oil is better at deception than we are at figuring it out.

It was actually $2.99 across the street, but there was a line, so we paid $3.00.
I wish it'd stay that low.

I remember when it was getting close to $3.00/gallon and my boyfriend told me that "if gas got over three dollars" he wouldn't drive anymore.

....

He's still driving.

It's only 86 cents per letere! That's 40 cents cheaper then it is here! It's something like 5.08/gallon (although we go by letters so i did so conversions)!
