My duck got bit by something 3 weeks ago. She had a large side chest injury. She ate and drank and pooped fine. I cleaned the wound, kept her inside, sprayed wound with animal antiseptic spray, gave her antibiotics. She wouldnt eat but she would drink water down lorikeet mix, sugar water. She was doing well. Just started to eat some seed and lettuce. 2 days ago She started gasping a little when I checked her over. She stopped eating. Poop became like water. Yesterday she didn't drink or poop as much as she has been. Today her gasping has been much worse. Her wings are drooping a bit. She just sits.

I'm calling vets tomorrow but I doubt she will be seen right away.
Anything I can do in the meantime ?

Her breathing is like what he is describing but I can't see or feel any blockage and she won't eat

What caused the injury? That injury is right where a ducks lung is. My guess is she had an pneumothorax (punctured lung) and it only partially collapsed. Despite what the movies show you s punctured lung does not always result in instant gasping for air not being able to breathe. A punctured lung definitely can be that serious, but if the puncture is small enough it can actually heal on its own. However, I would be worried about the possibility that the puncture never fully healed internally yet and when she started eating again it caused some issues.

I assume something bit a chunk out of her. Wild dog or fox. Seems too big for cat

She passed not long before her vet appointment . I should have taken her to an emergency place yesterday
