Ok now that I understand how to operate my bator. On gathering eggs I collect twice a day place in egg carton pointed side down tip carton up by placing something under one end rotate once a day keep in cool place and do not wash or rub clean no eggs.

It should take me about 4 or 5 days to collect enough eggs to hatch.
If I am not right please help.

I am practicing with my run of the mill chickens before I purchase any of the ones I like IE: Welsummers and Marans.

I have Game Chickens crossed on Barred Rocks they lay pretty good this cross usually go broody but I am scared they will not be ready if I order any eggs, thats why the incubator.

That's it! Only other thing I would suggest is to keep them in a cooler area, like a basement. I believe they should be around 55-65 degrees. Good luck!

The only thing I can do is put them in a room that is not as warm as the rest of the house.
