I will have my chicks next month (squeee!) so for the time being I am assembling my shopping list. We usually goo to Amazon for EVERYTHING, mainly because we get free shipping with Prime, but Im seeing how much the SUCK! Is there another online place to go that has low to no shipping? Or would I have an easier time going local? We are suburban, though probably 10 minutes away is "farm land" so maybe I could hunt a feed store over there though I havent tried yet... Suggestions? Thanks! [IMG]

Feed stores are nice! You can usually get anything you need for the basics there. You could probably order the other stuff online for very little shipping at a place like Meyer's, McMurray, or MyPetChicken. Why does Amazon suck? [IMG]

I get most of my things here or at Agway. It's chick season at the feeds stores to look for
some near you! The horsey set will know. Buy a 4 oz. bottle of Poultry Nutri-Drench at
Tractor Supply C10. dollars. It's a great product! Have used it on
my dogs and birds for a decade. Wonderful for dealing with travel stress and when chicks
are getting settled in their new home. One drop by mouth per chick upon arrival. Put it in
their water for the 1st one or two weeks for a strong start. I won't raise chicks without it.
    It's that good!
