It means your birds are infested with worms and the valbazen is doing its job. Valbazen slowly kills worms over 3-5 days preventing toxic dead worm overload which could possibly kill your chickens.

Hi,
I have a laying hen that has worms in her droppings. She is one of the 6 chickens I have. 2 others are laying and the remaining 3 still haven't started.

I was planning to get Wazine today. Should I treat all or just the one I see has symptoms?
The lady at the feed store said to treat just the one.
Thanks for any input!

Worm all of them. It would be best to use valbazen as an initial wormer, but if you cant get it, use the wazine. Wazine dosage is one ounce per one gallon of water for 24 hours only. Put the treated water out for your birds to drink prior to letting them out of their house first thing in the morning. The treated water must be their sole source of water to drink all day. Do not add anything else into the treated water. Once your birds go to roost in the evening, discard the treated water and provide them regular freshwater for the next day.

Hi again,
I had another question. I was just reading about bumble foot and was wondering if someone might identify my hens' foot abnormality.
I couldn't find how to start a new thread so I'm asking here.

The two hens had this condition when I bought them and they don't seem to be limping or favoring their feet. No swollen areas on to of the feet.

Could they just be callouses? I'm not too excited of the idea of lancing, picking and sneezing stuff from my poor girls.

Thanks again!
I appreciate the help.

Hi, this is great info, can you also tell me if there is a withdrawal period for the eggs if you use Wazine? and do you need to follow up with another dose after a certain period of time? I have had my hens a year now and haven't wormed them yet, haven't seen any sign of parasites but will worm them anyway
