I took my young hen to a vet over 2 weeks ago, she looked injured and couldn't pass her egg. Her vent was pecked by the other hens and there was some injury so vet said give her some antibiotic just in case to prevent sepsis because fecal matter could infect the area e.t.c.
Vet said wait at least 45 days to eat eggs. I gave the hen 3 ml of antibiotic over 3 days and stopped...didn't see the need to continue cause she healed up and is good as new.
I've thrown out 16 eggs so far(total waste). Do I continue to wait it out till at least 50 days?
