Hey all!!!
It has been a while since I was on and I had a lot of different things happen well this is what has transpired recently. My Taikneetu went to a new home w/ a co-worker/friend of mine. Her son wanted him when he came over to visit. We did a bird exchange, his mother only wanted her kids to have Roos so there is no babies. He of course choose Taikneetu. Well when i gave him to them they wanted to change his look. This is what he looked like before (hope pic show).

Then the kids wanted to do away w/ him. So I went to gather him. I was so shocked when he returned. Granted the children had to catch him cause they literally let him loose. Well when i got him back he looked like this... (hope pic show)

I couldn't get angry but I was was just surprised what they did with him. But at least he won't get frostbitten. In addition to his mouth was slightly open due to the size of his comb and waddles. He looks so different. But yet still a handsome bird. What do you all think??? They are both taken w/ my camera phone, quality due to light may distort pic.

Im not against dubbing (when needed for show or frost bite issues) but looks like they did that to be cool....and that's a shame.... having nothing but roos sounds fishy to me. Having nothing but hens and you wont have chicks either .....having a roo and hens doesnt mean chicks either if they collect the eggs daily.... i dunno just saying i think they shouldnt get any more of your birds.

None of this makes sense...if the mom didn't want babies, all she'd have to do is collect the eggs or just get all hens. Sounds and looks like they wanted to use him for cockfighting and they weren't able to. I would be furious at them butchering my bird like that. Plus, if you're in Hawaii, I don't think frostbite is a huge issue there, like it is in a northern state.

This whole thing is very strange and none of the story makes sense. I am very sorry your beautiful roo had to go through all that they did to him.
