Hello!
I aquired 11, 2 week old chicks about 5 months ago. Its been so much fun watching them change from fluffy, little cheepers to beautiful birds. Three roosters have been getting very aggresive with the hens lately in what I would guess to be pre-breeding behavior. They would peck and chase the hens until they were cornered. Then they would continue to harrass the hen, but would not
mount them...I figured that would soon be coming. Well this morning, one of the roosters tried to attack me twice. Hubby said it was time to give them away before myself, or our kids get hurt. So just a few hours ago, we gave them to a framer that has been working on our home ( we are going through a remodel). Anyway, I'm just sad....I know the framer said he and his family were going to be celebrating his birthday tonight, and we just provided them dinner.
