Gave two of my chickens away

We found a better picture.
Is it both eyes? I'm not an expert but I do know ocular Mareks can cause pupil deformity. Someone else will give you better guidance though, as there may be other possibilities I am not aware of. Your birds are very young though... Did you get them all from the same hatchery or breeder?

Also, what Fuzzi said. The best and quickest expert advice for this would come from the emergencies forum.

So…….I brought the two chickens back home. It wasn’t working for my son and he got chicken fever and bought 10 baby chicks. Long story. I did clip all their wings (just one each) this morning and it seems to be helping. They were only gone 6 days and I have one of my hens not accepting them back. She goes out of her way to peck at them and keep them away from the flock. Is this normal? I’m not sure what to do about it, if anything. Any thoughts?

You can separate the bully for a few days which will give the two returnees some relief and opportunity to reintegrate and find their spot in the pecking order.

I am new to chickens. They were born April 3rd 2024. I absolutely love having them, they’re hilarious. I spoil them pretty good and they’re great chicks. Now to why I’m posting.

I had 7 chickens. They are 4 months old. My son just moved here and he was having a major grasshopper issue, so I gave him two. I was ok with only 5, but it was hard letting them go. The two chickens I gave to my son, flew up to his railing on his patio, which was at least 6 ft off the ground. Then they jumped onto the adjoining 6ft fence overlooking the neighbors yard that had dogs. He managed to get them down and put them in their new coop. Now my chickens have started jumping up on my fence, which they had NEVER done before. Now I’m afraid to let them free range in my yard because my neighbors aren’t friendly and I don’t want them flying into their yard. They are americanas and they love to free range, but I can’t watch them all day. My question is: do you think they’re missing the two that left and are looking for them? Should I bring the other two back? They have only been gone for 5 days. What do I do?
Sorry for the late reply. I got our 4 pullets (teenage girls) in May 2023. As their feathers grew, one of the girls was the most adventurous. She would fly to the fence and explore the neighbor's yard who probably had yummier insects and bugs. hehehe. This happened maybe 3-4 times in a span of two months. Our neighbors didn't mind because that meant less bugs in their yard that eat their flowers. Plus, we really have good and friendly neighbors. And we give them some of our eggs, so they really can't complain about our girls. hahha.
Anyway, back to story. We don't believe in clipping wings. We just leave it how nature and God made it to be. After the 3rd to 4th time, she stopped flying to the fence. She was done exploring. So, what we are saying is that they will get over it in time. Now, today 9 23 2024. None of our girls fly out or fly onto the fence. Let nature take its course. Now, obvs if your girls will be harmed by a neighbor's dog. Then that is a different story.
