Sorry I have been MIA. Lots of OT the past few weeks, and been baking like a mad woman on my nights off to help heal my fragile little mind. Not too much to update on. We sold the group of Silkies Saturday because I am sick of feeding birds for my brother's kids when I never see my brother's kids. My mom and my brother only bother to text when they are bumming money. They couldn't afford to feed the birds and didn't want them, so we sold them. I had them sold within an hour of posting them. Gotta trim the fat around here.

We also butchered a few roosters yesterday to thin the flock. It was becoming a sausage fest amongst the free ranged birds and the hens did not approve of all of the cockerels' pursuits to sow their seed. Will be making chicken and dumplings with the meat tomorrow for supper. The hens appear to be happier now that they aren't getting ran down by a rampage of randy roosters so much. lol

But I am moving into a group home. My choice. I just feel like it’s what’s best for me right now. So I’ve been packing and getting ready but yeah.

It is hard to prioritize our own needs sometimes and I’m so glad to see you are doing that! Right now I would like to prioritize myself by moving into a tent in the woods where no one can find me but that’s another story

Thank you so much!!!!!!!! It’s hard especially since my dog is staying with a family friend now. I don’t like to think of him as being rehomed lol but either way, I believe he is happier there having another dog to play with.

I’ve had to do this with my dog in the past. He lived away from me for two years and it was hard but better than dragging him away from his dog friend.
