GBBs

I know this is a chicken forum but I figured I would ask... does anyone have or breed GBB Tarantulas? I curretnly have a female and would like to breed her and I am having a hard time finding a male because it is a pretty rare and super expensive species of T. (The pic is of my girl) Her name is Freelee.

Mine is nowhere near mature for me to know gender, but they aren't super uncommon depending on where you live. Is there a local reptile/exotics show, there are usually invert breeders at them who may have a connection. You can also try Spinder

Also make sure you breed her within 3 months of a molt for best success. Also, don't forget a shark tank, GBB tend to pounce first and ask questions later, lol.

I live in Idaho and there arent very many reptile shows and when they are, there is never spiders there. I am going to move to the East coast soon though and there will be much more then. I have not tried Spinder and will be sure to check that out! And yes the GBBs are really good eaters and love pouncing on the food.

Join Arachnoboards and check the classifieds. GBB's are pretty common.
