Hi,
My name is Rochelle, although most people call me Rowie for short. I live on a couple of acres 2 hours south of Sydney. I am looking to start up a flock of chooks and ducks, despite my parents disapproval for such! lol!
I am having to move back home due to my many medical conditions that are worsening, and I am finding it very difficult to work. Currently I am working in the dental industry on a part time basis.
I love all animals! I have an Old English Sheepdog, named Holmes, a maine coon x ragdoll cat, Ella, and finally three eclectus parrots, Rosie, Lola and Charlie. My pets are everything to me. I would not want to live in a world without animals. I also do horse riding lessons, as my other love are horses and highland cattle (luckily a herd of highland cattle live on our next door neighbours property, so i can play with them when i like!)
I am hoping of taking over my parents property and creating a sustainable hobby farm, however I will not be raising any cattle or sheep for our meals! I would love to have a fully sustainable vegetable and fruit garden, chooks for eggs, ducks for fertiliser and a couple alpaca to keep away the foxes!...and if my parents allowed me a mini pig, and a mini goat!
I am really looking forward to meeting you all, learning from your experiences and absorbing your wealth of knowledge.
See you around in the forums!
