i ordered a goose and some chicks and was planning on having them all come together in the same shipment but turns out first my gosling and 6 chicks will come first and then 5 days later 7 more chicks will come n the mail. so i will have the goose in the brooder with the first 6 chicks but then when the 7 chicks arrive i will be giving the first 6 chicks away to a friend (sorry if this is getting confusing). so my question is when the 6 chicks leave the brooder and the 7 chicks move in will my goose imprint on the new chicks or will she be peeping for the 6 chicks to come back?

The goose might attack the new chicks if it realizes they aren't the ones it knows, otherwise it will be just glad for the company.

I raised 10 geese with 45 chicks and 5 months later they free range together as a flock, never will have a hawk problem with this flock.
