So it's been over a week of daily exposure for my juvenile ducklings and the goslings. They all go outside for almost the whole day separated by a fence. Every day the juveniles try to eat the goslings and the goslings try to eat the juveniles. Yesterday one of the goslings got a hold of the bill of my khaki and wouldn't let go. The other ducklings started jabbing the gosling through the fence and she let go just to grab one of the other ones. There is a lot of hissing, quacking, and mayhem going on. I don't think they are ever going to be 'friends'. The main problem is three of my younger ducklings are brooding with the goslings and the juveniles aren't being nice to them either. It's been a bunch of neck feather shaking and fence charging which freaks the younger ducklings out. I'm wanting to put all the ducks together in a couple of weeks. *sigh* How hard is it to just get along?

Oh, mercy.

Breathe.

Maybe treats all around, see if they can associate being near each other with yummies.

I'm sorry but I had to laugh, sounds like a bunch of spoiled kids on the play ground. LOL I think like Amiga says try the treats. maybe getting their minds off each other and on to some goodies will do the trick.
