I have four toulouse goslings and plan to build them a 8 x 4 foot coop to close them at night. Is this enough space? I have only found reference of them needing 6 square feet per goose, is this correct?
Thanks

Mine is a more squarish design (7 x 6) with a split door in the center of a wall. I built mine so the roof could be covered with two Ondura panels.

I'd make it as large as you can. You might get more goslings next spring! ;)
On the other hand, two smaller coops come in handy if you have a need to separate a couple of geese.

This is very true! You may expand next year. It seems we are always expanding our spaces for our birds. The barn stall that my geese are in is 16x16. I wanted it to be big enough for seasonal rise in numbers from goslings. My chickens and ducks are also in a 16 by 16 barns stall. We have been revamping our set up to make sure it is large enough for more than what we have or even plan to have so that we are not having to revamp again.
