Hi there I have 4 Chinese crested geese that are all still alive inside their eggs as I candled them last night but no sign of pipping! I read that they should hatch day 28. I had some ducks hatching next to them and they were rocking and rolling day 28 but now nothing.
Getting a bit worried when they are going to pip, should I start thinking about safety holes??
Concerned

Candle all of them and look for internal pips, like this.

What has your temp and humidity been throughout incubation? Do you have at least one calibrated thermometer and a hydrometer in there?

It takes at least 30 days for them to hatch. Did you raise the humidity?

The Brinsea incubator I’m using spikes during the day then gets cooler at night time, I’ve got a both calibrated thermometer and hydrometer in there. I’m wondering if that’s the reason they are taking longer.

I bet it is why they're taking a bit longer. Can you move the incubator to a more temperature stable room?
