Geese filling their pool with rocks?!

I'm sure mine would as well. I don't have lace up shoes - but they love my hoodie strings. Silly geese.
Their favourite thing to attempt to eat: Engagement ring. For sure.

Well that wouldn't be a good idea. lol

Geese like more than shiny stuff. Mine like to play music with the upside down bells. Make pretty cute tone too. Mine pull stuffing out of our lawn chair pillows and I see them doing this.

Yeah.. My beautiful chairs are looking quite ratty lately..

Music.. Hmm.. I could lower the chimes for them to play with

I watch our geese play music with the upside down bells and they play a pretty good tune. They also deflock the lawn chairs of the stuffing. Thye grab sticks and put them in the water. They take down the Bungie straps that hold thier tarps we have on the pens. They have their little mouths into everything.

My African gander dabbles mouthfuls of mud and pebbles all the time. It's how geese obtain gizzard stones (to help digest food, especially grass and fibrous things). It's kind of like a prospector panning for gold -- they take a mouthful of mud, swish it in the water, and the mud washes away leaving small pebbles and rocks. They swallow the ones that are the right size (which are held in the gizzard) and drop the rest in the water. Voila! Lots of rocks at the bottom of the pool.

When I empty the water buckets and tubs at night, the bottoms are full of mud and rocks. The ducks are "guilty" of contributing to the collection too.

Do they ever outgrow their nibbling? God forbid I'm feeding the chickens as well, and they don't get my undivided attention. I was feeding them berries off of a branch, and when I turned to let the chickens take a bite, my pants were being eaten within 10 seconds.

They are curious!

I don't think so. but how funny they were eating your pants. Missy will now come over and nibble on my shoe but still won't let me touch her.

Sounds like she is really starting to warm up!

When they were babies they followed my yellow rubber boots everywhere. I have videos of me walking up from the barn and them following in a line, peeping their heads off :love
