Geese wouldn't touch barley sprouts

I have tried many times to grow fodder with barley seeds. But my geese show no interest in eating them. They love watermelon rine and vegetables but wouldn't eat barley sprouts. They may look at it and peck it a little and then shake their beaks. The ducks did the same when I had them. Anyone knows why?

Sounds to me it just isn't something they are interested in. They have preferred tastes too.

That's very possible. Has anyone tried successfully feeding sprouts to ducks and geese?
