If anyone could tell me if they are male or female and what age you think they may be. We got them on May 31st. I will post a pic from that day to how how big they were then. Thank you in advance!

1 is a production red around 7-9 weeks
2- is a BO pullet same age
3- black Cochin cockerel same age

Some people do keep their chicks on grower, which is 16-18% protein, I personally use starter with 20% to 24% protein until about 22 weeks.

Yes keep them on the 18%grower/starter feed. Once they reach 18 weeks they should eat a 16%layer feed with either oyster shells or eggshells on the side.

The problem is I don't know how old they are.
Do I continue with the grit and oyster shells? Sorry for all the questions I am very new at this.

How can you tell the black one is a male? This may be a dumb ? But Can they be neutered like dogs. Lol I don't want more chickens. I live in the city we are only allowed 4 and that one is my husbands favorite.

The comb is bigger on the black one. I myself am not good at sexing chickens by photos so am not saying one way or another.

You don't neuter roosters. With chickens you practice population control by eating their eggs.
