Gender and Breed?

Both RIRs. All RIR feet should be yellow.

You say you have another RIR, correct? If her feet look white they may just be bleached out from laying. Did you get to see her leg color before she started laying?

RIR are supposed to have yellow legs. Good layers will have faded legs due to the pigment being used to color the egg yolks. Yours look to be hatchery quality RIR, aka Production Reds. I may be crazy, but I think you have a pair. 1st a pullet very close to laying and 2nd a cockerel

Those are surely pullets, could be a RIR cross if you think the feet aren't right. Brown eggs are certainly not rainbow!

The meaning in that case would be a rainbow of different-looking *chickens* rather than a rainbow of different egg colors.

And one of the 4 is smaller then the rest. Her crown is flipped over but looks like she maybe laying. I'm a new chicken mom.
