Gender check for 7-8 week orpingtons 😊

The one in the back still looks like a cock. is it larger? Does it seem bossier than the other? It wouldn't be unusual to expect breeding behavior at this age. Watch how they relate to eachother...
The boys I have had before were more ā€œin my faceā€ these two seem shy and just cuddle together. No fighting and they run from my other bigger chickens.

If you have a flock that they are pretty new to they will hang together especially if they are the same age and same breed (it's true that birds of a feather flock together). If the one is bigger that the other that is also an indication.

Temperament at this age means nothing when trying to determine sex.

They are both pullets and look like pullets.

It's really impossible to tell without vent sexing at this age. Temperament at various ages can really varry according to age. These are a heavier breed and especially if the feathering is similar between genders it's even harder to tell.

We sex chickens all day long at this age. Some are trickier than others though, yes.

I have no doubts about these two however.

I find my new camera is making the bigger one look more red in the face.. here is an outside pic. Still think cock??
I think that one is a cockerel, but more experienced members say pullet., I have no reason to doubt them, but I suppose we'll know in a few weeks.
