Thank you so much for explaining that. I see what you're talking about now. You're pullet for comparison is very helpful (she's gorgeous, btw). Now I know what to look for in the future.His comb is incredibly red and large for nine weeks. Even without looking at the feathering he would clearly be a male. He has pointed saddle feathers and color patches on his wings. These are super clear and the most definitive indicators. Pointed feathers are an exclusively male trait point blank

Here’s my buff laced female of similar age. Note the even lacing, pink comb that isn’t “built-up,” and how her feathers aren’t pointed although lacing can give that illusion. Laced/pencilled Brahma varieties are much easier to sex because you can simply look at how they’re feathering in. There’s really no need to question
