Gender for this Easter Egger?

Who can help me with the gender of this 8 week old easter egger please? Pretty sure that the flock mates in the background are hens, and it seems to me that except for the red in the comb the one in the foreground could be a hen as well. Thanks so much for your opinions

It’s a cockerel. He’s got male coloring (the splotchy red patches on the wings). Plus the comb.

Agreed. He's a cockerel. The rust color on the wings is male specific. The comb is large and red at only 8 weeks old. The others behind him look like pullets from what I can tell.

I don't go by comb color much, but that red of a comb in an EE would be a sign to look further. However, the red coloration in the wings and the pointy neck feathers are cockerel all the way.

I realize this is an older post, but I've been perusing all the recent pullet/cockerel gender posts to test my skills. It's been a while since I've had to ID a boy in my own flock, but as I'm watching my newest additions develop, I may need to put these skills to the test this year. Will likely be posting about this myself pretty soon.
