Gender guess? Breed opinions?

I have two chicks that are 3.5 months old. I was told they are easter eggers, but I've never seen an easter egger with this coloring. I'm also within city limits & can't keep roosters. I've heard crowing, so I know at least one is a roo, but I can't catch who's doing it.
What do you think? Both roos? And what breeds do you think were mixed for these?

They're both Easter egger cockerels, which can be just about any color these days. Both have the tell tale beards and pea combs of Easter eggers.

Agreed. Bad luck but they both look like the Easter Egger Cockerel I ended up with. The red in the shoulders was the first sign. Then the tail and stance.

I figured they were cockerels, and I've already got a good home for them. A coworker with a farm agreed to take them. I was just very curious about the speckles, it's so pretty! Hopefully I can get a hen with similar colors. Why are the roosters always so pretty & friendly?

If you'd like a "speckled" (ie: white with blue/black feathers mixed in) hen that lays colored eggs, you might look for a Splash Ameraucana. Splash chickens have two copies of the blue gene, which dilute solid black to blue and white.

Beware, though, many "Ameraucanas" aren't purebred, but misled Easter Eggers. It seems like you don't care about that as much, but you just don't want to overpay!
