6 wk old hatchery Polish with an unusual looking crest. (nicknamed "Mohawk") I would think it is a boy due to the shape of the feathers but I am surprised to not see any reddening in wattle/crest area (like my houdan is showing))

so when i go on http://www.feathersite.com/Poultry/CGP/Polish/BRKPolish.html some of the girls (esp the silver laced and gold laced) do not seem to have the perfect soft feathers for their crest.... maybe I do have a girl?

Looks like a fancy breed very pretty polish maybe but I am not very familiar with fancy breeds. I just wanted to comment how pretty it is.

thank you - and I simply love that you commented - nothing worse than getting NO responses AT ALL... It's just a hatchery bird and doesn't appear to be a great example of a silver laced polish - but we love it just the same

since the top is comming in pointed I'd say roo, its lacing might get better after a molt

I think roo too, my polish has a more rounder crest

thanx all for your help - I am still holding out hope as it still does not have any wattles and my houdan has already started crowing... will update soon...
