Yeah they are sweeties! You think she will stay mottled? I still don't entirely understand what goes and what stays

I would be surprised if all that white molts out. I guess you never know because weirder things have happened, but it sure looks mottled!Yeah they are sweeties! You think she will stay mottled? I still don't entirely understand what goes and what stays

Cochins cockerels get Red large combs early. All your Cochins look like pullets.Hello!
We bought eggs to put under our broody, and 3 little chicks came out. 1 black and 1 chocolate cochin bantams, and 1 columbian wyandotte bantam.
I know its early, they are 4 weeks and 2 days (real easter chicks), and there is no rush, but I'm of course super curious hihi. I will post more pictures later.
Chick #1 Black cochin bantam
( the first to hatch, so almost 1 day older than the wyandotte)

Chick #2 chocolate cochin bantam
(second born chick, I thought this would also be a black cochin, but after @Overo Mare suggested chocolate I checked with the breeder and she has confirmed it is chocolate!)

So I'm the most curious about gender, but also any thoughts on overall development are of course welcome. It's my first time hatching eggs, and it's also the first time for the hen.
The mama is as far as I can tell doing a really great job raising them, and she calls out the I found food all come here the moment we enter so thats a bonus. They are not afraid, but very active and curious hihi
Yeah, I also think they will be pullets, but I don't dare to say for sure!Cochins cockerels get Red large combs early. All your Cochins look like pullets.
