Thank you!Def. 2 drakes two females
iāve heard they can rip out the girls feathers and even drown them if the drakes are aggressiveWill this issues being 2 and 2?
chasing the girls, missing feathers on the girls, they try to stay away from him@Duck mommy 2019 great to hear it works for you. Hoping it works well with us. The smaller Ancona made the loud noise. So glad I have at least 2 girlsgirls. What are things I should look for, in a mean Drake? "He" has an attitude to us, but hangs with pack
i think i may get more girls in the spring, but only because my pekin drake is bigger than my girls (khaki and rouen)It would honestly be best to have at least min 3 females to each drake. Then thereās no guarantee they wonāt fight but that can easily be rectified by separating during worse part of breeding season. I have to do it with my Muscovy drake and my gander and many others have to do it with their drakes .
i was thinking about putting my khaki drake and khaki hen together (+ adding another hen)Good idea!
Part goose?Ordered offline on Estes Hatchery. Awful experience.....The one that you are referencing is very mean. It bites and hisses, where as the others are very friendly. Not sure if that is the trait, but very unfriendly.
