Chip is a pullet. I'm not sure about Sven, but he/she definitely looks like a pullet if you ignore the tail. I think pullet, but maybe watch the shoulders for any splotches of color over the next couple weeks, since that would indicate a boy. Usually for a boy, the feathers would already be colorful/splotchy though. My guess is both EEs are girls, and Sven just has an awesome backside .

this made me laugh out loud!!! I really hope Sven just has a nice backside!! No colour in him.... but chip does have flashes of green when the sun hits his/her tail - does that indicate a boy????

No. Hens with black often have that beetle-green sheen.
