Gender help, please!

I have been going nuts trying to figure out if my white Polish are roos or not. One is slightly bigger than the other and theres a little differences in their tails.

I was sure one was looking roo'ish, so I gave it to a friend with one of my female WC Polish. Everytime I went over there, I kept thinking it actually looked more like a girl. So I gave them the Buff one I had that people on here said looked like a roo and took back my white one. Now that my two whites are together again, I can't tell them apart, nor tell if one is a male or not. I haven't heard any crowing, but the one I originally gave away was larger than the other back then and started making mock crowing gestures, or so I thought.

They are 12 1/2 weeks old. Most of their feathers all look rounded to me, but not quite as compact as my WC's poofs.

Anyone have any White Polish about the age of mine to compare pics with? I am heading to an auction tomorrow and was set to take the 'supposed' roo to sell, now I'm not sure what to do!

im not sure if it hasnt started crowing yet it propably wont and youlll know if its a guy when he tries to mate the one you believe to be the female

I am almost leaning towards both of them being pullets with bad hair days. They were included in my Ornamental Layer collection from MMH and all my WC's ended up females, without question. I can't seem to find any young Polish roo pics to compare these two with though.

They both have those little 'horns' that someone suggested only roos get, so I just don't know. I would have thought I would hear crowing by now also.

I guess its just going to be a wait and see issue. They are sweet, hope they both really are girls!

I looked up the other pic you posted (the one with the dirty crest), at the time i did think roo but, now I'm leaning toward pullet .... I don't see any pointy saddle feathers...You have a tough one. Here is a pic of a rooster polish that I found on another thread--lots of pointy saddle feathers, and much different body shape...

***(ETA- sorry, just realized that they are def not the same bird. I saw the name Nilla on both of them and was majorly confused. I'm guessing these two are both pullets, since dirty head is out of the picture

You weren't wrong, I was just being confusing lol. The one white one was originally named Nilla, but when we gave it away and got the buff one, I gave it the name Nilla. When we traded the buff one for the white one again, I just used Nilla for the white one again.

With my luck, they are all females and I have been uprooting them from their home for nothing! If the Buff crows over there, it won't matter though and they will let me know, if not, they will be getting 2 eggs a day, instead of 1. And then maybe I will take my buff one back.

My buff one didn't look nearly as male as the one in that pic did, specially after I washed his 'poofyhead'.

I guess I have learned my lesson, wait til it crows before doing anything!

They look like two pullets to me, Deb. I'm not really experienced with Polish's though. I've only had a "pair" my mom bought at auction and they turned out to be roosters.
