gender help, polish!

The golden laced looks roosterish to me.

The other looks more like a pullet to me.

Right now they both look like pullets, if the gold ones top hat starts going all over the place than he is a cockerel! Here are pics of mine to compare male and female

I thought that I heard that when the crest is more Mohawk looking at a younger age it is male. Rounder crests at younger age are generally pullets. Correct me if i'm wrong, I would love to learn. That's why I thought male for the golden laced. Or is that just superstition?

My polish didn't get the crazy streamers until 12 weeks, so update with pictures then. The more I compare them to my polish, the more im thinking pullets. My males had redder wattles at 6 weeks.

I hatched 6 roos and one pullet. Most of my roos had the mohawks, and the pullet was a lot rounded. So that's what I was basing my guess off of.

You are correct, male do have more of the Mohawk crazy look, but IMO I would think that if male the feathers wouldn't be so even looking like they do in your pics.

The lighter one doesn't even come close to a Mohawk, so that's very good.

For me the dark is looking a little mohawky to me, but not much, it might be getting in its juvenile feathers still and hasn't filled its crest out yet.

Yes that's a very good sign, I think I commented on yours and said pullets right now but watch the gold one, correct?
