Awesome thx. My EE’s have muffs and I didn’t even think about these girls not having muffs. Well bummer! I really want some ameraucanas but they seem really hard to find

Out of my 4 “Ameraucanas”/ EEs (2 Hens, 2 Roosters) I think only 2 are TRUE ameraucanas and I only kind of know that from other people’s opinion Lol I was bummed too!! And YES, I agree it is very hard to find true ones!

Some hatcheries like Meyers and MPC sell blue Ameraucana. I'm not sure about other ones. Otherwise you may need to find a breeder.

For true ameraucanas you have to reach out to a breeder. Even then you can get crummy breeders that produce near EE offspring. (Ask me how I know...) You just have to reach out an keep trying. They have a real problem with being crossed into EE right and left, then back again... Largely, I suspect, because of the lack of supply.

BBS are going to be the most common color of Ams you can get and the most reliable to be uncrossed as well.
