I am a brand new mama to chicks. They are 2.5 weeks old and I am concerned that Ginger might be a boy. She is a RIR and twice the size as the other three who are a barred rock, a buff Orpington, and a speckled Sussex. She is feathering out just as fast, if not faster than the others but she is very bossy and very noisy when they aren't all together. She will call for the others if they aren't all together. Is my little Ginger a Gregory?

It's hard to say at that age. Usually males feather slower than females. Being larger could just be the difference in the breed or a slight difference in age. Some are more agressive and noisier than others. Even the comb's color is not a sure sign, males usually get red at a younger age. I have one hen I was sure was going to be male and is still the most agressive and noisiest.
