Both were supposed to be hens but i have my doubts... they are ameraucana mixes, the bigger one is around 5 weeks and the smaller one is around 4 weeks. Help me tell their genders please?

both looking pullety repost when they are around 10 weeks of age for a more accurate guess and if you want spot on again at 17 weeks by then should be able to tell by hackle and saddle development

The thing that worried me was the red coming in on the shoulders and they act a bit "roo-ish" with eachother. Jumping around and seems like challenging eachothrt. Does anyone know if this is more commen behavior in ameraucana/araucana mixes (or easter eggers but they are about 75% ameraucana and the rest araucana accourding to the breeder).

I think they are just playing. Girls chest bump, and stuff like boys. It could also be some pecking order activities.

EE's tend to be more shy than other breeds as a whole but you could just have more vigerous chicks.

Quick update on number 2, getter much darker on the belly plus red/black growing on the head. This is worrysome because i know that the dad was a blue wheaten... the other one has a buff underside and head.
