I have a feeling that this was the "Hatch of the Roos". Of 5 BB/barred rocks I hatched, 4 are roos. Since they were sex-linked, I could tell right away. The rest of my chickies isn't so easy. I don't know if you can even tell yet (being only a month old), but I thought I'd ask all you pros out there!

Any ideas whether they are boys or girls?

To me, all 3 EEs look like pullets. I'm iffy on #3, but still lean toward pullets. The rest I have no experience with!

They do look girlish dont they. I think Rhodie may be a girl. As far as the Orpingtons, they seem to take a long time to figure out if they are boys or girls.

I thought the EE's were pullets too....they are so gentle and sweet. I originally thought the RIR was definitely a roo....she was so BIG at first, now she's one of the smallest and has mellowed out some. The BOs are insane.....noisy, high strung, and very aggressive toward the other birds, so I think all three are roos. As far as physical features....I've read everything I could find on here to try to pinpoint gender, to no avail. They're pretty half and half.

I don't have much experience with BO but they all look like roos to me.
the ee's, 1(would like better comb pic)&2 look like pullets and 3 is a roo (note the 3 distinct rows in the comb, usually means roo)
no exp with RIR either but it looks like a pullet to me

The only one that I think I can tell is Rhodie. I have two 5-week old RIR's and they are both supposed to be pullets. Well, Rebecca looks like your Rhodie, and the other has a very pinkish/red comb and wattles...I'm thinking we'll change it's name from Rhonda to Rodney
