Hi everyone! Needing some help on the gender of my two Buffs I received as goslings. They’re now 11 months old. I’ve attached some photos marking who is who (Loosey is L and Goosey is G).
In my uneducated opinion, I feel like Loosey is a goose and Goosey is a gander but would love to have some others weigh in! Some characteristics that set the two apart:
- Loosey is a bit smaller and darker in color while Goosey is larger and his buff color is a bit lighter
- Goosey is a bit more talkative and has a higher pitch to his voice while Loosey is a bit more standoffish
- Goosey’s tail feathers look more spread out while Loosey’s are a bit tighter
- Loosey is ornery and if she comes after me, Goosey will go after her.
Thank you in advance!
