Gender of my chicks 4 weeks old

Leroy is a roo - the color in his comb, the splashes on his wing feathers, and the large legs all point to cockerel.

It's too early to tell for sure on the others - so far, they look like pullets.

Pullet will spar just as much as the roos at this age - some more than others, depending on their personalities.

here is my uneducated guess!

Ziggy: Roo
Max: Pullet
BooBoo: Roo
Monk: Pullet? maybe? based on comb alone.. would need to see more feather pics
Eleanor: same as monk
Leroy: Roo
Mellow: not sure.. pullet?

My pullet looked SoooOO much like a roo at that age though... Give it a few more weeks to be sure.

Totaly agree. My 7 ladies always spared since they were little. It is part of there establishing pecking order.

I say the only roo looking one is Leroy also.

LEROY is all roo.

I had 16 pullets and 1 little roo together at 4 weeks. The most alpha pullets would play fight with each other and the roo. Till this day one of the alpha pullets ( 18 weeks now) will run up to the roo and display her neck feathers and flap her wings. The roo will display his feathers. They will give each other the STINK eye and then go away from each other.

The others may be ALPHA pullets / hens establishing their place in the pack.

I am on the fence with Max and BooBoo. Max has a wide comb - - - could be, and BooBoo has a really tall comb - - - could be.
In another two weeks you should know for sure. Only one of them would be a roo.
I would go with pullets for now because I would hope to see "MORE" comb developement by now if roo.
