Sometimes cockerels will not act male if there is a dominant roo. Did he/she squat for the roo?

No but the other one on the right squats everytime you go to pick it up or pet it. And there is a more dominate Rooster in the flock.

If the other one squats it is a pullet. I suspect the first one is likely a cockerel.

They're not supposed to, but sometimes with hatchery stock you get a bad gene, like how you'll sometimes see single combs on hatchery wyandottes.

Show stock will throw out single combs every once in awhile too.

Yep! It's just more common in the hatchery birds, from what I had read.

Ok I'm still learning... so what did that mean. Is that good or bad?? What is a single comb?

Yep! It's just more common in the hatchery birds, from what I had read.

It is, because some carry the recessive single comb genes.
