In March, we got 11 chicks from Bobbi Porto in Florida! They are now 16 weeks old as of tomorrow. Any opinions on who are boys and who are girls? I am a novice in judging the higher-quality ones, so my guesses are probably all wrong!
The Poll is just for fun. Which of the 4 White Silkies shows the most shows the most potential?

#1- Bugly

Lovely Silkies! :D

I'd also agree that Georgia and Sophie look male. Their crests are more 'sleeked' backwards and their posture is less rounded like a females is.

As for showing, I'd say Bugly and princess are about even. They both have different features that are better than one anothers. For example, princess looks like she has a better tail fluff with very little hard feathering. However, Bugly looks like she has better, more even leg and foot feathering.

If you are wanting to show for fun, take them both and after judging, ask the judges which bird they prefer and why. Ask them to point out the good and bad features of each.

It's a good experience regardless of what happens!

Wow... great information thank you! I certainly have a lot to learn! Would you mind sharing your thoughts on my other silkies as well? Here is the link!
