Gender Reveal - light sussex 9 weeks old

I'm sorry for your difficulty finding pullets :( Perhaps you could try an autosexing breed like a Cream Legbar, Rhodebar, Welbar, or Bielefelder! The different genders of chicks have drastically different appearances even when first hatched and as they mature, it is also quite clear! It upsets me so much when there are dishonest sellers. It's unfair to their cockerels they pawned off and discourages the buyer from chicken keeping :(
Oh my so many breeds - I know im being picky I just have my heart on the LS and SLW
It really does - i will be honest the little ones i have they have mentioned that they will refund or try for pullets and take them back i just don't know if they actually will - i will try though - thank you :)

That's sad to hear.

Where, in general, are you located? Maybe some other BYCer could help you.
Im around capricorn area - the sellers did say that if i happened to get roos they would either refund or try and pick me some girls - not sure if they will warrant that but i will try - i just think if your always selling them you would know - all good i will get there in the end :) Thank you

When I sell young chicks still in need of heat I sell them as straight run.

My Australorps show their sex early, but I can't always tell.

No i know i completely understand that but i think when they are a little older someone whom is around raising them all the time may have a better idea - was having a little rant because of my sh***y luck lol

I breed LS and I can tell from 3 weeks old (*only with my line!*) who is a male and who is a female. Recently I had a buyer come to get a young rooster 5w old and he was convinced it was a pullet 🤣 I told him na mate he is definately a He, I wouldn't be selling you a pullet this cheap. He laughed said I had to be the most honest breeder he'd met as it *looked* like a pullet. I know my line though and the males don't have tails or a feathered in back at 3w old sometimes if they aren't dominant their head gear doesn't colour in or grow as quick 😄
