Howdy!
My husband and I adopted an orphaned baby chick a few weeks ago. She just grew the feathers on her head and no longer looks mangy lol. My guess is she is about 6ish weeks old. I’m in the Florida Keys and if you’re not aware we have a ton of chickens roaming freely
. This little baby might be a bantam… I’m thinking so because she seems much smaller than the rest we have had, even smaller than another orphaned Key West hen. But as “she” has been growing… a friend of my keeps saying she has suspicious traits that might indicate she is in fact a he. I’m hoping you all can help us sex this baby. I took pics of feathers, as best I could. I know some of the pics didn’t come out so wonderful as my son is clearly not a photographer lol. I’m not real sure what angles are needed to sex the baby so if different angles are needed please let me know.
By the way, he/she’s name is Sprocket
