Gender surprises out there?

I am new to chickens and have been pouring over this forum trying to learn. I have a Buff Wyandotte (7 weeks) that I think may be a roo, but the site won't let me post pictures on here yet. I am really hoping my Sandy is a she. Anybody have stories out there where the early verdict was roo and you ended up with an egg instead of a crow?

Thanks for the keeping my hope alive. He/She is just so sweet! My neighborhood wouldn't like a roo though!
