Six weeks isn't really early for sexing when you know your chickens, unless they come from a slow-feathering breed.

It’s that black comb, very deceiving, but the point on it were very distinct, I went through this in the summer with a youngster - I was extremely disappointed my chick was a Roo, I wanted a second replacement pullet for my old girl Penelope. I thought for a while he was a she but then I had to just accept she was a he.

And then there was Martina who turned out to be Martin boohoo - polish x silkie
