I have been trying for weeks to figure out the gender of my Khaki Campbell. Youtube vids, pictures, etc. but I CANNOT for the life of me figure it out. He/she is 16 weeks old. No drake feather yet which is why I am thinking female. However, it has a quieter quack when it isn't yelping out for attention or when it is excited.

Please please please, if anyone can tell me I would be SO appreciative.

Thank you!!

What a GORGEOUS duck!!! I think she needs to come live with me.

I'm definitely no expert, but I'll give ya my two cents: no drake feather by this age = female and as long as it's definitely a "quack" regardless of the volume=female. Drakes speak more in squeaks, raspy froggy sounds, etc.

Awh thanks! She is so sweet. She will let me pick her up and rub her belly! Both my duckies are spoiled rotten. Still coming inside at night. (They are scared of the dark!) hehe. I appreciate your two cents and I suppose I should soon be expecting some eggs soon!! Yay! Going to try and make a small side business out of it.

@Julie Bird - tagging you so you'll come see this magnificent duck!

@lynss94 - omg...if you mean possibly selling her ducklings, I want some! What state are you in? Oh and welcome to BYC!

If I can get a male, I would definitely incubate some of her eggs but I only have (what I believe is two females) and the other is a Pekin duck. :(

Where did you get her? What's her name? I wonder how long it would take me to drive to NC and duck-nap, er, I mean borrow her.

So...you have two KC females and a pekin?

The feather pattern/marking is very pretty. Beautiful! You said it's a KC?

I got her at Tractor Supply :) her name is Pepper! Don't duck-nap her she's my baby! I have one Khaki and one Pekin. (Ollie is the Pekin. I'm guessing she is also a female. No drake feather yet and same age)
