That's funny! I told my boyfriend just the other day, (before I even had this account) that both the duckies should be on the front cover of a magazine! I think it is because they stay inside at night. They are able to get their beauty sleep you know

That's it! Once they sleep outdoors, maybe they'll get a little homelier looking, like normal ducks.

They DO NOT like it outside at night. I have them spoiled rotten. When we go dirt bike riding/camping and I have to leave them out for a night, (THEY HAVE ONLY STAYED OUT TWICE IN THEIR LIVES) it makes me so sad. I KNOW they're out crying for me, their mama

Aw, precious babies! So...how does it work with them sleeping indoors? What do you have set up for them? How did you decide to get ducks? I just got mine out of their brooder and into their coop, but boy I'd sure love a couple of KCs now!

We just happened to walk into TSC and I heard them sqweeking so we walked over and THERE THEY WERE! A whole bunch of precious duckies! We already had a plastic tote and it was plenty large enough for two baby ducks at the time. So we both picked out which ones we liked and brought them home! Surprisingly they did not need the heat lamp long. Maybe a week tops.

But now at night, right as it is getting dark I have to wash their bin, snack bowl, and water bowl out, I fill it up with the pine flakes they have been used to their whole lives and they sleep until I wake up and let them out. I guess I am their human because they will follow me over my bf if we are both out their. But where I go, they go. They're wonderful inside once they calm down. We don't hear a peep out of them. Sooner rather than later I am going to have to get something larger. They have just about outgrown their bin.

This is them one morning this week. (LET US OUT NOW MOMMY!)

You've heard of killing with kindness, right? Well...you're killing me with cuteness! I just can't take it. How can they be so darn cute!!??

So they've slept together in the bin since they were babies? Then do they just hang out outside all day?

Yes, just out in the fenced in backyard. I have them a little pool they can play in and they normally graze in the yard. They take naps under the bushes then when I get home I'll call them and they come to the gate to greet me! It is normally a relatively loud welcome home. Hehe

That sounds awesome! They get their shade for naps under the bushes. They're living my dream. LOL
