I have four three week old ducklings and I'm wondering how I can tell if it's a girl or a boy. I'm very new to raising ducks!

You will have to wait another two months or so to be sure, if you don't know how to voice sex or vent sex. If you don't know what you are doing, there is no point in vent sexing, you are more likely to hurt them, and still have no idea of the gender. I vent sexed my 5 duckling, and I was sure I had 1 male, and 4 females. Turns out, I just didn't know what the heck I was doing! I ended up with 5 males

. Another way is to voice sex them, you will notice that females are louder, and will make a more defined "quack!", but sometimes it isn't noticeable until they are a couple months old. The most definite way to find out the gender is to wait for their first set of adult feathers to come in. For mine, it was around three months. My khaki Campbell had a green head, and my runner had a tail curl. You might have to wait until then. What kind of runners do you have?

I can usually tell what sex they are around 6 weeks old. I have runners and some mixed breed ducks. When you pick them up the female will make a quackkkkk sound and the males make a low sound. It's defiantly not a quack on the males just a kind of low noise. It's worked for me so far.
