General hatching

Today is day 20 for my eggs and this is the first time i've tried to hatch some. Does it matter if they are in a room that has the lights on or off? I have them in a dark room but keep thinking if i keep the light on they will "wake up" and hatch.

Doesn't matter in the least.

It is usually rather dark under a hen, though, y'know?

I am glad to read the answer to your question since the light in my guest..hummmm chicken room goes on and off all the time... not to mention me peering in with my flashlight..

Good luck with your hatch.. mine are hatching now.. 4 of the 11 have pipped.. how about yours?
