General info and guidelines for raising chickens

thanks for all the help. I'm not sure what breed. i got pullets, from tractor supply, Pullets are just young females right?

oh, and i have a pen 425 square feet witch is plenty big enough. the coop however is 3' by 5' 7" they will have access to a weatherized barrel i used for ducks a few years back. Is that enough shelter?
