It's Day 18.
I need to move 28 of my eggs from the Genesis with a turner to the one without a turner. The new one has been running for a day, but when I moved it so it would be closer to the old one (same bathroom, one in the shower stall and one sitting on the sink), the temp seemed to go down and now it's running about a degree cooler than the incubator.

I've moved the thermometer in the water wiggler from the incubator to the hatcher just to be absolutely sure that my temps really are off the way I think they are.

My question is: should I adjust the temps in the new hatcher per the directions that come with the Genesis? up it a degree so that it's more like 100 than 99?

I'm running into a time constraint now, and I am loathe to mess with it, but.....

H E L P please....

If it were me, I'd transfer the eggs and let it stabilize before adjusting anything...

Such good advice.
Thank you.

I know, basically, that is is NO time to monkey around with the technology, but....it's Day 18, and I'm fretting....

Here I go....
Eggs from the bator to the hatcher.

But....but....but....

What if it's still a degree low in 6-7 hours?

Then what????

Adjust or just assume the hatch might be a bit late?

Susan

Your egg turner raises the temp by at least 1 degree.

Your eggs should be fine. I do it this way all time.

Just keep the bator closed, the humidity up around 70% and sit tight.

This is the very hardest part of a hatch.

Oh thank you thank you thank you....

And doesn't that make a whole lot of sense.....of course that motor has to generate some heat....

Now I'm going to go lock the door on the incubator room, go outside and play in the garden instead of fretting !!!!

Whew !!!!

I feel like I just got a hug and a pat on the head all at the same time. Yo chickies !!!!!

Susan

yeah, sure you are....

Get yourself plenty of snacks by the bator, a comfortable chair and a little flashlight. It's easier to see those tiny little pips with a little flash light.
