I've only been told good things about this model incubator, I found this incubator online, however it isn't listed by model type. Is this the Genesis? Or does somebody have a link to this incubator?

They're selling it for $159.99.

I checked out the website, it is cheaper than at Randall Burkey.

Something struck me though that I hadn't realized before- the incubator is made out of "foam". At least that's what category it's listed under says. Like styrofoam? Are these effective? I don't know if I can spend $150 on a styrofoam box and feel comfortable with myself.

I thought they were made out of a plastic material. Who knew?

I love my 1588, it might be Styrofoam but if you take care of it it'll last you forever...

I have two 1588's. (I use one as the hatcher). They are wonderful, steady, reliable, and the styro part that you don't like---that keeps the heat very stable.
I had a wafer type styro bator, and do not suggest them. The wafer heating element is too hard to regulate. My next incubator will be the Brinsea.
